Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about Kilimanjaro climbing, Tanzania safaris, cultural tours, and day trips.

🏔️ Kilimanjaro Climbing

The best times to climb Kilimanjaro are during the dry seasons: January-March and June-October. These months offer the clearest skies, most stable weather conditions, and highest summit success rates. January-March is colder but less crowded, while June-October is the peak season with warmer temperatures.
Kilimanjaro climbing packages range from $1,800 to $3,500 depending on the route, duration, group size, and services included. Our packages include park fees, guide fees, porters, meals, equipment, and airport transfers. Contact us for a custom quote tailored to your needs.
While Kilimanjaro doesn't require technical climbing skills, good physical fitness is essential. We recommend 3-6 months of regular cardio (hiking, running, cycling) and strength training before your climb. Our experienced guides will pace you appropriately and monitor your acclimatization using the "pole pole" (slowly slowly) approach.
Our success rate is 98% for climbers who follow the recommended itineraries and acclimatization schedules. We use the "pole pole" approach, provide oxygen monitoring, and ensure proper hydration and nutrition throughout the climb to maximize summit success.
Essential items include: thermal base layers, fleece jacket, waterproof jacket and pants, insulated down jacket, hiking boots, sleeping bag rated -10°C, headlamp, sunglasses, water bottles, and trekking poles. We provide a complete packing list upon booking.

🦁 Tanzania Safaris

Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro Crater are the top safari destinations in Tanzania. Serengeti offers the Great Migration, while Ngorongoro has the densest wildlife population in Africa. Other great parks include Tarangire (elephants), Lake Manyara (tree-climbing lions), and Selous (boat safaris).
Our safari packages include: park entry fees, professional English-speaking guide, 4x4 safari vehicle with pop-up roof, accommodation, all meals, bottled water, and airport transfers. International flights, visas, travel insurance, and tips are not included.
The Great Migration is a year-round event. June-July is the best time to see river crossings in the northern Serengeti. December-March is calving season in the southern Serengeti. Contact us for specific timing based on what you want to witness.

✈️ Travel Information

Yes, Tanzania is generally very safe for tourists. We take extra precautions with our experienced guides, secure accommodations, and 24/7 support throughout your journey. We recommend standard travel precautions like using hotel safes and not walking alone at night in unfamiliar areas.
Most nationalities require a visa to enter Tanzania. You can obtain a tourist visa upon arrival at the airport for $50-100 USD depending on nationality, or apply online through the Tanzania eVisa system before travel. We recommend checking with your local Tanzanian embassy for specific requirements.
Yellow fever vaccination is required if arriving from a country with risk of yellow fever. We also recommend Hepatitis A & B, typhoid, tetanus, and malaria prophylaxis. Consult your doctor 4-6 weeks before travel for personalized advice.
